Merry Christmas Scott Kazmir. Your gift is a minor league deal with the Cleveland Indians. I consider this a gift given that your career had fallen off the face of the earth, and you were last seen pitching for the Sugarland Skeeters in independent ball. Kazmir had about 5 good years and was a 2 time All-Star. But then, his ERA skyrocketed north of 5.00. I assumed that Kazmir would just fade away. I guess I was wrong.
I have been a New York Yankees fan for my entire life. I have collected baseball cards for over 20 years. I did take a brief hiatus from 1996 to 2004. Nine years is brief, right? I prefer cards made after 2004. I also prefer cards that measure 2.5 in. by 3.5 in. I also have a thing against baseball cards that don't feature a baseball player. I collect all teams and players, even the Red Sox.
Fearless prediction: Makes the rotation out of Spring Training, wins at least 10 games with a 4.0-ish ERA.
ReplyDeleteI would count that as a huge success for both player and team.
ReplyDeleteAs an Angel fan - Fearless prediction: Makes the rotation out of Spring Training, wins 2 games in 12 starts with an ERA of 5.80 and gets released.
ReplyDeleteI would believe that.
