1st TTM Autograph Requests of 2012

I sent out my first TTM autograph requests of the year out this week to spring training facilities. I made a list of the players that I wanted to send letters to this year. I sent 5 letters out to Joba Chamberlain, Rafael Soriano, Aaron Hill, Chris Volstad, and Neil Walker. A couple of those are close to sure bets. I would be thrilled to get the Joba request back. Typically, I will send 5 letters out at a time just to make life easier and continue doing so throughout the year. Any advice for who to send to during the rest of the year?

The TTM Season Has Begun

With the beginning of Spring Training comes the beginning of TTM autograph requests. I have stocked up on my forever stamps and baby powder. I will typically send a letter, return SASE, and 1 or 2 cards to a player. I don't collect signed balls or bats so I only send cards to get signed. I prefer cards without gloss, but baby powder can take care of that problem. Spring Training is the best time of year to make TTM requests. Often, players who don't sign during the season will sign some autographs during the spring. The spring is a good time to take some risks by sending requests to some of the more popular players. So far this year I have sent requests to the following players:

• C.C. Sabathia
• Felix Hernandez
• Josh Hamilton
• Zack Greinke
• James Loney
• Curtis Granderson
• Aaron Harang

Some of those players won't sign but I like the risk/reward. I would still like to send out more requests by the end of the spring. Does anyone have any suggestions?
