Colorado Rockies Cards from eBay

I purchased five 20 card team lots from an eBay seller recently.  The first lot featured Colorado Rockies cards.  Most of the cards are from the past five years.  The entire lot cost a dollar shipped.  That is five cents a card.  That’s a much better deal than buying a pack.  The highlights of this lot include a Bowman Chrome Tulowitski Refractor, Jorge De La Rosa Topps Gold card, and a Donruss Elite card of Todd Helton numbered to 83.  I didn’t have any of these cards in my collection so I’m pretty happy with this addition.  

eBay Mailbag: Garrett Atkins

I recently stole 3 cards of Garrett Atkins from a seller on eBay recently. I actually didn't steal them but I did pay 6 cents for all three. I received a 2008 Allen & Ginter which is my favorite since I now love Allen & Ginter. My second favorite is the 2008 X-Ponential followed by the 2007 SP Authentic. Two of those cards are inserts by the way. Atkins spent most of his career with the Rockies. Atkins now struggles with the Orioles. But then again, most of the Orioles struggle.

2008 Topps Chrome Refractor - Jeff Francis

I picked up a 2008 Topps Chrome Refractor of Jeff Francis off of eBay for 35 cents including shipping. I’m not an avid Jeff Francis fan although he is a good TTM signer. Now that I think of it, I should do a TTM mailing to Francis. I just couldn’t resist a refractor for 35 cents. This is my second 2008 Topps Chrome Refractor. These cards just look really cool. TTM Mailbag: Jason Marquis

My latest TTM success comes from Jason Marquis of the Colorado Rockies. He signed a 2004 Topps #211 and 2005 Topps #228 in only 9 days. Oddly enough, the 2005 Topps card has a strange black smudge on the back. I think I like the 2004 Topps better just because Marquis is running the bases in the photo. Another great success!
