This card is a 1993 Upper Deck RC of Chad McConnell. Although it's a rookie card, it's nothing spectacular. Despite being drafted in the 1st round of the 1992 draft by the Phillies, McConnell never made it past AA. What makes this card special is the delicious trifecta of food products in the background. I think we are all familiar with Hostess snack products and Wonder bread. But it gets better. Also paying for space at the stadium is Old El Paso, maker of hard and soft taco kits. Best of all is the Checkers billboard. Checkers is the best fast food burger joint on the planet, edging out White Castle. So, the real stars of this card are not holding a baseball bat. In fairness, McConnell did last 4 seasons in the minors.
